I made the purchase specifically with my anniversary in mind and trusted that timeframe.

Unfortunately, the order was apparently shipped using one of the cheapest and slowest shipping options available, and due to mishandling by USPS, my package ended up arriving 5 days AFTER my anniversary.

What made the situation even more frustrating was the response I received when I contacted Verano Hill about the issue. I was essentially told that the problem was out of their control and that there was nothing they could do about it because it involved the carrier.

I understand that USPS is a separate company and that carriers can make mistakes. However, as the customer, I purchased from Verano Hill—not USPS. Once a company accepts an order and provides a promised delivery timeframe, I expect them to take some level of responsibility for helping resolve the situation when something goes wrong.
